I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University. This is my 21st year at Aubrey ISD. Before I became a School Counselor, I taught Third Grade at Aubrey Elementary and Aubrey Intermediate School. I have been the counselor at the Middle School and Elementary levels for 15 years. I will provide guidance lessons in each classroom about our Aubrey Core Values, as well as the 7 Mindsets Social Emotional learning program. I conduct group sessions for needs such as divorce, social skills and friendship. I will also conduct sessions for students' individual needs. I plan and implement the Character Program at Brockett, based on decisions made by our Character Committee. This year I will be bringing more Social Emotional Learning to our students. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
