The Aubrey ISD Board of Trustees approved the attendance boundaries for all four elementary school campuses at its March board meeting on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

During the same meeting, the current elementary school under construction, Pete and Myra West Elementary, gained its official name. With a total of four Aubrey ISD elementary schools available for students, beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, it was necessary to create and modify attendance boundaries.

The following details administrative considerations:

1.  Campus Capacities - Brockett Elementary School was built in 1986 and the building has a smaller capacity than our other three elementary schools. Thus any new non-employee intradistrict transfers to Brockett will not be considered.

2.  Aubrey ISD students can attend West Elementary School, if space permits, by completing an Intradistrict Transfer Application. Approved students may remain at the campus through fifth grade if the student continues to meet the transfer rules and regulations by completing the Request to Remain form with the campus principal annually. Additionally, students can opt to return to their zoned campus if space is available.

3.  Fifth grade students for the 2024-2025 school year who may have their attendance zones impacted by the new attendance map will be permitted to remain at their current (2023-2024) campus. Siblings of 2024-2025 fifth graders will attend their zoned campus.

4.  Students who are intradistrict transfers who reside in either the Fuller Elementary School and Monaco Elementary School zone will be allowed to remain at Fuller or Monaco to which they transferred by completing a Request to Remain form with the campus principal. Additionally, they can apply to attend West Elementary School.

5.  All students in the West Elementary School attendance zone will attend that school except fifth graders who can opt to finish fifth grade at their current school. Additionally, if a student is in a special program, such as bilingual or special education that is not offered at West Elementary School, they may be transferred to a school with that program.

Kindergarten Kickoff and online registration for Aubrey ISD K-12 students begins April 17, 2024.
